A Shocking New Documentary on Elizabeth Holmes Premieres at Telluride

Telluride has just unveiled one of its most exciting secrets in recent years, according to The Hollywood Reporter. On Sunday night, festival attendees entered a 650-seat theater with their phones secured away, completely unaware of what was in store for them. They were only informed that the presentation would last nearly three hours, had not been previewed anywhere, and that its key creators would be present in the audience. The surprise premiere they experienced is a new documentary directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, focusing on Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos.

Titled “You Can See Everything,” the documentary reportedly explores the lives of Holmes and her husband, Billy Evans, during the 34 days leading up to her reporting to federal prison in May 2023, where she was set to serve an 11-year sentence for defrauding investors regarding her blood-testing technology. Since that time, her legal battles have been unsuccessful. Her attempts to have the conviction overturned and to reduce her sentence were denied in February of the previous year. Subsequently, she pursued a different avenue, requesting then-President Trump to commute her sentence. That petition for clemency remains pending, indicating it has been officially opened and is still under consideration.

Fielder reportedly resided in the couple’s guest house during the filming — the level of access they allowed is surprising — but the excitement also stems from an A-list actress who becomes part of the narrative. A24 is scheduled to release the film in October. You can view the trailer below.
