MrBeast Su reportedly Starting His Own Phone Company
At only 27 years old, MrBeast, the renowned YouTuber celebrated for his extravagant challenges and giveaways, is making an exciting leap into a new venture: he is reportedly gearing up to launch his very own mobile phone company.
As per a report by Business Insider, which analyzed a leaked investor presentation, MrBeast plans to introduce a mobile phone service next year. The report also suggested that he and the team at Beast Industries are investigating avenues in fintech and mobile gaming to enhance their growth trajectory.
His latest initiative involves creating a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), a model that permits him to deliver mobile services by utilizing the infrastructure of major carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. By partnering with one of these providers, MrBeast can offer competitive rates and high-quality service without the substantial investment required to establish a network independently.
This strategy echoes that of other celebrities, such as Ryan Reynolds, who partnered with Mint Mobile, a company that was sold to T-Mobile for approximately $1.35 billion. T-Mobile has also collaborated with MrBeast previously to implement an MVNO solution.
This new endeavor aligns with MrBeast’s broader strategy to expand his brand, which already includes food brands Feastables and Lunchly, along with a line of toys. The mobile venture could significantly enhance the profitability of his business. Despite boasting an impressive following of around 430 million YouTube subscribers, his media projects have yet to turn a profit.
Last year, MrBeast’s venture, Feastables, reportedly generated around $250 million in sales and over $20 million in profit, according to Bloomberg. In contrast, his media operations, including his YouTube channel and a reality competition show on Prime Video, incurred losses nearing $80 million.
