Rising Temperatures Could Impact the Result of the Kaizer Chiefs vs. Polokwane City Match This Sunday

Johannesburg – The ongoing heatwave may present a challenge for Kaizer Chiefs as they travel to Limpopo to compete against Polokwane City in a Betway Premiership fixture at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium this Sunday afternoon.

Kick-off is scheduled for 15:30.

The SA Weather Service (SAWS) predicts that the heatwave could persist for several more days, meaning the Chiefs will endure intense conditions in the north, unless there is a delay in the kick-off time.

The Glamour Boys are determined to get back to winning form after squandering a two-goal lead against Royal AM.

The Soweto giants struck twice in the first half, thanks to Ashley Du Preez and Wandile Dube.

However, Ayabulela Maxwele and Levy Mashiane found the net for Royal AM, equalizing the score at 2-2 and ending the match in a stalemate.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi voiced his disappointment with the result, attributing it to a “lack of professionalism” displayed by some Chiefs players that resulted in losing their 2-0 advantage.

To address this error, the Tunisian coach must consider the elevated temperatures at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium that the Glamour Boys are expected to encounter in their upcoming match.
