How Increasing Temperatures Could Influence This Sunday’s Kaizer Chiefs vs. Polokwane City Match Outcome

Johannesburg – The ongoing heatwave may create challenges for Kaizer Chiefs as they travel to Limpopo to take on Polokwane City in a Betway Premiership match scheduled for this Sunday afternoon at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The match is set to kick off at 15:30.

The SA Weather Service (SAWS) forecasts that the heatwave could persist for several more days, which means the Chiefs will likely contend with difficult weather conditions in the north unless there is a change in the kick-off time.

The Glamour Boys are keen to reclaim their winning momentum after letting slip a two-goal advantage against Royal AM.

The Soweto giants found the net twice in the first half, with contributions from Ashley Du Preez and Wandile Dube.

However, Royal AM’s Ayabulela Maxwele and Levy Mashiane managed to equalize, resulting in a 2-2 draw.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi voiced his dissatisfaction with the result, attributing it to a “lack of professionalism” from certain Chiefs players that allowed them to lose their 2-0 advantage.

To correct this oversight, the Tunisian coach must consider the high temperatures expected at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium during their upcoming match.
