O’Sullivan Compares Wilson to Scheffler

Ronnie O’Sullivan is of the opinion that Kyren Wilson possesses the right “mentality” for long-term success, drawing a comparison to top golfer Scottie Scheffler.

Wilson is set to compete against Michael Holt in the quarter-finals of the UK Snooker Championships later this evening.

A seven-time Crucible champion, O’Sullivan is impressed with Wilson’s ability to cope with pressure following his first world title victory this year.

In a statement to Eurosport, The Rocket shared: “It really depends on the person; for some, the burden of expectation can be overwhelming and can sidetrack their careers.

“Conversely, those with talent and pedigree tend to meet the challenge head-on, achieving notable success.”
